13: Serial ports handling

This is what cause me most problems. Every time I add a new device or move a USB cable to another port it refuse to connect to the device or devices. When you got it to work, never change anything !

Serial ports:

Every time the Raspberry starts up it order the different serial ports to some id. One common problem for me is the EQ6 mount, it looks like it prefer the port 0. If some device take this port before the mount refuse to connect, it's give an error and say the port is already connected to another device. I can disconnect the USB cables and then insert them once again in correct order with the Raspberry running. Normally that helps. But next time I start the Raspberry I have the same problem.

My friend show me some new commands that I can use to figure out what's going on.

Most important:
Never pull out a USB connector and insert it in another USB port. It's the same problem in Windows too.

EQ6 Mount / EQMOD driver:

Raspberry Pi4 setup serial ports

Command window:

Raspberry Pi4 setup serial ports
